Things to do to care for your hearing aids during the winter months:


Careful when you take off your winter garments.


When taking off earmuffs, beanies and sweaters, they can easily to pull out your hearing aid device out. Avoid losing or end up breaking your device.


Always keep spare batteries.


Battery plays the pivotal role in making your day better. You will miss most of your daily routine if you run out of battery. Since cold temperatures can sap your batteries faster, we suggest keeping spares with you all the time.


Avoid using them and store them separately when you’re participating in winter activities.


If you’re going to participate in any snow activities like skiing, snowboarding or a snowball fight, consider storing your hearing aid device somewhere safe to you don’t damage or lose them.


Let your hearing aids dry out.


After usage of hearing aid device in outdoors, you should open the battery sockets of your hearing aid device to allow moisture to dry out.


Use a dehumidifier.


The Don’ts


Don’t put your devices, batteries or chargers in the car.


Cold weather can drain out battery power and leave you stranded.





Don’t heat your hearing aids in a heated drying system instead of dehumidifier.


Heated drying system produces more heat, so the heat almost defoliates the device. Avoid it.


Keep up on your cleaning routine.


Always go through regular cleaning routine. Particularly in the winter months take extra precautions and protect your hearing device.
